We provide specialized pastoral care, wise counsel, and family governance for first responder, public servant, and government families.
AVODA House
What Is Family Governance?
We believe the household is God's first institution of government. Before many are entrusted to serve a city, a department, or a nation, they are first entrusted with serving a household. We call that responsibility Family Governance—the biblical practice of leading a household under God's authority.
As first responders, we understand the unique demands of public service. Through specialized pastoral care supported by the AVODA Council, we come alongside first responder, public servant, and government families. We help households seek God's wisdom, discern decisions, navigate life's challenges, prepare for the future, celebrate life's milestones, and build a lasting legacy.
Serving America's
Public Service Families
AVODA House complements the work of the local church and licensed professionals by providing specialized pastoral care through the AVODA Family Governance model for those who serve on the front lines of America.
Our desire is that every public service family feels known, understood, and supported as they navigate the unique joys, challenges, and pressures of government appointment.
The AVODA
Family Governance Model
Community
The AVODA Table is where public service families from different churches gather to share meals, pray, worship, encourage one another, and build deeper relationships, following the pattern of the early church.
Formation
The AVODA Institute equips through biblical teaching, leadership development, and the AVODA Certificate in Human Rights, Justice & Family Governance—a first of its kind program in biblical family governance.
Governance
Through the AVODA Council and Family Governance Meetings, households receive pastoral care, mentorship, prayer, and collective wisdom as they navigate life's decisions, joys, and challenges.
Legacy
AVODA Legacy provides books, curriculum, and family legacy preservation resources that help households preserve their story, pass on their values, and build lasting spiritual, emotional, and relational legacies for generations to come.
AVODA Means Your Whole Life
AVODA is a Hebrew word that describes an integrated life of worship, work, and witness—where serving God isn't limited to Sunday, but shapes your home, your vocation, and every responsibility He has entrusted to you.
For those called to the front lines of America, we believe God is present in both the uniform and your home. He cares about your work, your marriage, your children, your relationships, and the legacy you're building together.

A Letter From the Founders
At AVODA House, we believe that healthy households contribute to safer communities.
Police officers confront darkness on the streets. Firefighters run toward danger when others run away. Public servants carry weighty responsibilities. Government leaders make difficult decisions that affect the lives of many. Together, they serve under constant pressure while carrying burdens that often remain unseen.
But behind every person who serves is a family carrying the joys, sacrifices, and challenges of that calling together. The person in uniform serves the community. AVODA House serves the family behind the uniform.
We believe God designed homes to be a place of faith and stability.
That's why we developed the AVODA Family Governance Model. Through specialized pastoral care supported by the AVODA Table, the AVODA Institute, the AVODA Council, and AVODA Legacy, we walk alongside public service families, helping them seek God's wisdom, discern decisions, prepare for the future, navigate life's challenges, celebrate life's milestones, and build a lasting legacy.
